Longworth

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Longworth is a beautiful village and civil parish, located near Kingston Bagpuize and Southmoor, in the English county of Oxfordshire (formerly in Berkshire).

Longworth is one of the closer villages to the River Thames and is, sadly, where biological warfare expert, David Kelly, died (or committed suicide) during the Second Gulf War WMD scandal.

One of the best pubs in the village is the Blue Boar, which serves top quality food and wine, and is well worth visiting.

Sir Henry Marten, a 17th century Judge of the Admiralty Court, and his son, Henry Marten, the infamous regicide, resided at Longworth House.
