Longwood football team

Longwood is a five a side football team competing in the ryston shield and the Linford cup. They are a semi professional football team who competeted during the 2006/2007 season. Their arch rivals are the other local football team called the A-Team.

The name Longwood derives from a House upon Howdale Road, Downham Market.

[edit] 2006 / 2007 campaign

Longwood had a poor start to the season, with a 3 - nil thumping by their local Rivals the A-team. Things did improve in the next game recording their first official win beating Flubs FC by a Johnny Alexander Goal to Nil. But their performance over the fianl few games were poor only recording a few draws and a massive loss. The season ended with them in 6th place.
