[edit] 2006 Flooding
Longmire, along with Paradise, were amongst the most hit in the November 2006 rainstorm which resulted in 18 inches of rain within a 36 hour period, also causing extensive flood damage and road closures. In December, the park was opened for hiking and skiing (primarily cross-country), but was still closed to any automobile traffic. As of now, repairs are being done to fix the damage caused by the flooding.
