Longfellow Stakes

The Longfellow Stakes is a thoroughbred horse race run each year in June at Monmouth Park in Oceanport, New Jersey. A five and one half furlong sprint for either gender aged three and up, the ungraded Longfellow offers a purse of $60,000 and a trophy.

This stakes race is named for the Hall of Famer Longfellow, one of America's greatest racehorses as well as one of the greatest stallions of the 19th Century.
