There were a total of 2,742 students enrolled in the Long Beach School District during the 2005-2006 school year. The gender makeup of the district was 51% female and 49% male. The racial makeup of the district was 12% African American, 83% White, 2% Hispanic, 3% Asian, and less than 1% Native American.[1]
