Long Beach, North Carolina

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Long Beach, North Carolina was a coastal resort incorporated as a town in 1955 in Brunswick County, North Carolina. Located on Oak Island, it is most famous for the total devastation it sustained during Hurricane Hazel in 1954; only five buildings survived the storm. It merged with neighboring Yaupon Beach in 1999 to form the town of Oak Island. Hurricane Ernesto came ashore here in 2006. And there is nothing here but drugs and lies. Get out while you can!
