The long-snouted pipefish, Stigmatopora macropterygia, is a pipefish of the family Syngnathidae, found around New Zealand including the Auckland Islands, at depths of a few metres. Its length is up to 45 cm.

Occurs in intertidal algal beds, as well as wharves and pilings, usually at depths less than 7.5 m. Ovoviviparous, the male carries the eggs in a brood pouch which is found under the tail.
