London Through A Lens Project

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The London Through A Lens Project was started in March 2006 in light of the decision by the International Olympic Committee to host the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, UK. The London Through A Lens Project was set up with only one view in mind: to share the city of London with the rest of the world.

The London Through A Lens Project asks members of the public to submit their photos from around London to the website. The idea of the website is that as more and more photos gather on it, it will become more of a tourism guide in the run-up to the 2012 Games, rather than just an online gallery.

The project will run up to and including the year 2012.

As of March 2007, its domain, londonthroughalens.com, was pointed at a "suspended" page hosted by Namesco.
