[edit] The last days
The mall was expected to be torn down around 2000, but its demise was delayed. Most of the mall was shuttered in early 2002 when Younkers moved into the newer Oakwood Mall. The middle section of the mall was removed completely; the original Sears annex (at the north end) now houses Uniprise. The Prange Way section was demolished and rebuilt as HOM Furniture. The south section remains and was renovated for Grengs Theatre. Currently, there are numerous strip malls and a grocery store located at the former mall's site.
