The most notable part of SW8 is Patmore Estate, The Patmore is known as a crime ridden estate it gained notoriety in 2005 when a female police officer was kidnapped for three days, stabbed and robbed. After Patmore's crime rate became a real problem during the early parts of 2006 the police clamped down on the estate, arresting several drug dealers, arms dealers, thieves and a well documented gang leader with several gang members. Patmore's crime rate nevertheless has fallen sharply.
