London Centre for Nanotechnology

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The London Centre for Nanotechnology (LCN) is a joint venture between University College London (UCL) and Imperial College London. A brand new 8-storey building was built on the UCL campus (at a cost of £25 million), and the LCN was officially opened on 7 November 2006. There are also facilities in South Kensington. Nanotechnology is an interdisciplinary field, and that is reflected in the groups based in the LCN. Areas currently being researched include surface science, solid-state physics and bionanotechnology.
