London Boat Show
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The London Boat Show is held at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre in East London each January. It is a very large event which uses ExCeL's two 32,500 square metre halls.
The show features a wide range of boats, boating equipment and clothing. There is a section devoted to inland waterways including canal boats. There is also a display of tall boats and other vessels in the Royal Victoria Dock immediately outside the exhibition centre.
Before it moved to ExCeL in 2004, the London Boat Show was held at Earls Court.
It recently attained a title sponsor and is currently titled the Collins Stewart London Boat Show.
The 21st London International Boat Show was the first to open on a bank holiday and attracted 23,000 visitors, a marked increase on previous years despite a 30 per cent slump in production in 1975.
