London Blitz are a British American Football Team based in North London at Finsbury Park Stadium.

London Blitz play in White Helmets (with navy blue oval logo), navy blue jerseys with white numbers, white pants, and navy blue socks. Decals bearing the word "Blitz" may also be worn by players on any part of their helmet in recognition of achievement.
[edit] Origins
London Blitz have been a presence in London and British American Football since 1984. Formed in 1995 after a merger between the Ealing Eagles (1984-1994) and Woking Generals (1988-1993), the Blitz have built a strong football programme, rising from the lower ranks of the British Senior League (now British American Football League) in the early days to Division 1 in 2006, capping a successful campaign with an appearance in the British National Final - Britbowl XX. The Blitz eventually lost to London Olympians 45-30.

Based in the heart of North London at Finsbury Park Stadium, the Blitz have links with over 150 American Football players and enthusiasts in the area, and are the natural first point of contact for people interested in the sport in London and the Home Counties. The team's reach is not confined to the UK, attracting players from across the world. In 2005 the Blitz fielded players from the US and Canada as well as Jamaica, South Africa and Uganda.

The nearest station is Manor House on the Piccadilly Line but also close by is Finsbury Park whch is on the Victoria and Piccadilly Lines as well as main line services. There are several bus services serving the roads that surround the park.

From the North Circular Road, take the A1 south and turn left into Seven Sisters Road when you get to Holloway. Finsbury Park is about one mile along this road.
From the A40, continue east into town and just after Regents Park, turn left into the A4201 (Albany Street). This road becomes Parkway as it turns north east and then the A503 (Camden Road) as it passes Camden Town underground station. Outside Holloway Prison, the road follows a one way system and becomes Parkhurst Road and then Seven Sisters Road as it crosses the A1.
