Lol Crème

Lol Crème (born September 19, 1947 in Prestwich, near Bury, Lancashire, England) is an English musician and music video director.

He was born Lawrence Neil Crème to a family of Jewish descent, and later took up the nickname Lolagon. While attending art school in Manchester, he met Kevin Godley. They became part of several bands together, most significantly 10cc, and eventually became known as Godley & Creme in acting together as musicians and directors.

He sings, and plays guitar and keyboards. In later years, Crème has worked on various projects with Trevor Horn. After several years of music video production, Crème joined Horn in the Art of Noise in 1998. He directed the 1991 Jamaican comedy film The Lunatic.

He is currently in the studio with Trevor Horn, Chris Braide and Steve Lipson recording a new album as The Producers.

Lol's son Lalo was a member of the 1990s indie-dance band Arkarna and has also worked on a number of projects with his father.
