Loick Barros Paiva Pires (Born November 20, 1989) is a 6"2 trainee footballer for Leyton Orient F.C. in League One of the Football League. His previous clubs include Stoke City F.C. and Alexandra Park and has also represented the AFA in the Counties Youth League. He joined Alexandra Park at the age of 15 in the summer of 2005 after a successful trial where he scored a hatrick in a trial match, Pires went on to score 19 goals in 21 games in the 2005/2006 season; He was then awarded with Goal of the Season and was runner-up to the player of the year award. During this time Stoke City F.C. spotted him and he went for a brief trial in August 2006 before joining Leyton Orient F.C. on a scholarship in September. Pires is a tall intelligent center forward who is fast with the ball, good in the air and has got a clinical finish. In education, Loick attended Haverstock School from 2001–2006, where he achieved 8 GCSEs.
