Logo.sys

Logo.sys is a system file used by DOS-based Windows versions such as Windows 95 to display its bootup message.

Logo.sys is a RGB encoded Bitmap file with a maximum resolution of 320×400 at 256 colors. Windows stretch's it to 640 x 480 pixels while it is visible. For logo.sys windows will also "animate" the images color info using palette rotation. There is no other content of the file; you will be able to view the contents of the file after changing its filename extension to BMP.
