[edit] Harmony 1000

Harmony 1000 features 3.5" color touch screen and is larger than the other remotes in the product range that are meant to be used with only one hand. [1]

[edit] Harmony 890/895

Harmony 890/895 is the second most expensive and comprehensive remote of the product line. It is also the only remote to feature radio frequency (RF) component enabling the remote to control devices even without line-of-sight to and from different rooms up to a range of 30 meters.[2] [3]

[edit] Harmony 880/885

Harmony 880 is one of the bestselling Harmony remotes. It is the first Harmony with color LCD and rechargeable battery. [4]

[edit] Harmony 670

Harmony 670 is a mid-range universal remote that offers most of the functionality in the Harmony line.

The 670 has a monochrome LCD screen plus putting DVR functions in the middle of the remote where it's easier to reach. [5]

[edit] Harmony 360

Harmony 360 has special XBox buttons, X, Y, A, B and media center control button for XBox. It is pre-configured to be used with XBox 360 console which makes it ideal for gamers. [6]

[edit] Harmony Remote Software

The remote software allows users to update the remote configuration, learn IR commands, and upgrade the remote's firmware.

Early versions of the remote software were browser based only. Newer versions are Java based, but the software still requires constant internet connectivity to work. The software is compatible with both Windows, and Mac.

[edit] History

Version 5 of the software allowed users to set up their remote using local software, to simplify the setup experience. However, the program still required internet connectivity to work. The software for Mac was still internet browser based.
