[edit] Membership

I can't seem to find a list of members on the website. Does this mean every applicable council is a member? Morwen - Talk 12:19, 4 January 2006 (UTC)

I was going to ask the same question after I was reminded of the LGA by coming across an article on the National Governors Association in the USA. The article says the LGA was set up as part of mid-90s local government reform, but is it a voluntary association or does it have some statutory basis? Do councils opt in, opt out, or have no choice in the matter, being members by definition? 86.136.92.2 02:02, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
