Locust Grove is a city in Henry County, Georgia, United States. The population was 2,322 at the 2000 census. Census Estimates for 2005 show a population of 3,434.

Locust Grove is located at 33°20′44″N, 84°6′18″W (33.345499, -84.104991)^GR1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.7 km² (2.2 mi²). 5.5 km² (2.1 mi²) of it is land and 0.2 km² (0.1 mi²) of it (3.18%) is water.

The unincorporated census-designated place (CDP) of Luella can be found within the postal limits of Locust Grove in Henry County.

As of the census^GR2 of 2000, there were 2,322 people, 817 households, and 637 families residing in the city. The population density was 420.9/km² (1,089.5/mi²). There were 863 housing units at an average density of 156.4/km² (404.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 82.00% White, 14.38% African American, 0.60% Native American, 0.43% Asian, 0.09% Pacific Islander, 1.08% from other races, and 1.42% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.07% of the population.

There were 817 households out of which 41.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.9% were married couples living together, 15.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.0% were non-families. 18.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.84 and the average family size was 3.18.

In the city the population was spread out with 29.4% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 35.2% from 25 to 44, 18.4% from 45 to 64, and 8.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 32 years. For every 100 females there were 99.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.4 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $42,188, and the median income for a family was $46,042. Males had a median income of $32,094 versus $22,845 for females. The per capita income for the city was $16,120. About 5.6% of families and 8.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 12.3% of those under age 18 and 9.3% of those age 65 or over.
