Local Government Chronicle (LGC) is a British weekly magazine for municipal officials. It is published by Emap Communications, and was first published in 1855.

Local Government Chronicle (LGC) is a British weekly magazine for local government managers published by Emap Communications. It was launched in 1855 by bookseller and publisher Charles Knight. It is politically independent.
Subjects it covers include finance, law, management, housing, planning, regeneration, the environment, education and social services. The editor is Richard Vize, who took over in 2000.
Among its other activities, LGC runs the first national awards to be launched for local government, the LGC Awards for Excellence.
