[edit] Comments on this map

This map is completely crap.

[edit] Comment on the text

The netherlands became independent of the Holy Roman empire in 1648 and not 1630.

Flanders ceased to be part of the Holy Roman empire in 1794.

[edit] Comment on the border lines

Germany: South Schleswig was Danish. The rest of Germany was part of the HRE, including South East Germany.

Poland: Pommerania, Neumark and Silesia were part of the HRE and not only a part of Pommerania.

Czech Republic: belonged completely to the HRE.

Austria: only Burgenland didn't belong to the HRE.

Slovenia: Only the far east didn't belong to the HRE.

Italy: Tuscany was part of the HRE and Venice was larger in the north.

France: more of the north and the north east were German and less of the south east.

Belgium and the Netherlands: belonged to the HRE.

[edit] Conclusion

This map should be deleted.
