Lobster hook
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A lobster hook or lobsterhook can be:-
[edit] In sea fishing
A hook with a handle (often home-made from a length of thick stiff wire) used to pull crabs and lobsters out of their holes, when scuba diving or when searching among rocks in the dry at low tide.
[edit] In fashion
A type of small hook used to engage with a ring or loop to hold a garment or necklace or similar closed. The hook is opened or closed by a small metal piece operated by a small lever, as in these images: [1] [2] [3] It was likely named because of a supposed similarity to a lobster's claw.
A "lobster hook jacket" is fastened shut by this sort of hook.
