The Lobster Men are an enemy race in the computer game X-COM: Terror from the Deep. They are very resistant to almost every kind of weapon, making them one of the fiercest enemies in the game.
The Lobster Men usually attack the player before he/she has any technology capable of defending themselves. Due to this, the Lobster Men can withstand most weapons fired at them, because the weapons the player might have at the time are not incredibly powerful. The Lobster Men also have a natural resistance and much health.
As default, a Lobster Man receives the following defensive bonuses:
- Armour Piercing damage reduced by 80%
- Phosphor damage reduced by 60%
- Explosive damage reduced by 50%
- Gauss damage reduced by 60%
- Sonic damage reduced by 50%
- Stun damage reduced by 20%
However, hand-to-hand combat weapons work effectively against the Lobster Men, as their damage count is doubled when used against the Lobster Men.
A Lobster Man may be of any rank except 'Medic', and frequently carry every kind of weapon along with their built-in 'claw' attack.
None of the Lobster Man classes are capable of Molecular Control attacks, and at best they are only averagely resistant to its effects themselves.
