[edit] average truck deck height

anybody know? Jandrinov 04:06, 28 January 2006 (UTC) A truck deck slopes from the cab to the rear, a 'dock leveller' is set at 1.2m above the dock yard, to accept trucks.

Most docks are between 48" & 52" with the newer buildings being on the taller side. Most bobtail trucks (city delivery) run 45"-47"...over the road up to 52" and some refrigerated vans hitting in the high 50s. Newer air-ride trailers can adjust the truck bed height for a better match.YogiRon 22:23, 1 December 2006 (UTC)
