Lo que le pasó a Santiago (1989) is considered by many to be the greatest movie ever produced in Puerto Rico. Because of the film, many consider Jacobo Morales the greatest Puerto Rican director in history.
The movie tells the story of a widower who meets a new lady in his life, disrupting his daily routines.
Lo que le pasó a Santiago was the first Puerto Rican production in history to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
