Lo Lieh (羅烈 29 June 1939 - 2 November 2002), born in Pematang Siantar Indonesia, was a Hong Kong actor in martial-arts films. His real surname was Wang Lap tat. After his parents sent him back to China he attended acting school in Hong Kong. Hired by the Shaw Brothers Studio in 1962, Lo Lieh went on to become one of the most famous actors in Hong Kong kung fu films in the late 1960's and 1970's. He died of a heart attack in November 2002.
