Ljusdals BK are a Swedish bandy club who will play in Division 1 in the 2007/08 season having finished bottom of the Allsvenskan. Ljusdals were founded in 1943 and play at Gamla Idrottspark. Ljusdals have a supporters group called the Lightnings. They have played 43 seasons in the Allsvenskan.

[edit] Recent seasons

Last season Ljusdals finished bottom of the Allsvenskan Norra, however they managed to come 5th in the Superallsvenskan and therefore avoided relegation. Unfortunately for Ljusdals the 2006/07 season proved to be the year when they were relegated, a loss against Tillberga on Valentine's day proved to be the end of the survival hopes.

[edit] Markku Huhtanen accident

Ljusdals player Markku Huhtanen was struck down by a car whilst on a golf trip holiday in Mallorca in March 2006.
