Basic summary (:
- I am a Ph.D. candidate (5th year graduate student) in the Psychology Department at the University of California, Berkeley, mentored by Rodolfo Mendoza-Denton. My research generally falls under the topics of intergroup relations and social cognition, with a specific focus on the effects of close intergroup friendship on the storage, accessibility, and application of information about other social groups during social interactions with new outgroup members. My research tends to take a multi-method approach, incorporating reaction time, psychophysiological, traditional self-report, and behavioral methodologies within each study. Dyadic interaction and longitudinal paradigms are common themes in my research as well.
- In 2002, I received my B.S. in Psychology and Statistics from Carnegie Mellon University where I was closely mentored by Prof. Vicki Helgeson of the Psychology Department and Profs. Joel Greenhouse and Howard Seltman of the Statistics Department.
