[edit] Welcome

Welcome to WP:PCP

Welcome to the Pokémon Collaborative Project, if you are having any trouble, just post your message in the Project talk page explaining your problem. If you don't know what to do, refer to Portal:Pokémon's "What to do" section. You can adopt a Pokémon article to edit at WP:PAC. We all hope you enjoy your time at the Pokémon Callaborative Project and decide to stay, Good luck and happy editing from I Love Minun (talk) 14:39, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Images

Thank you for doing fabby work on the Pokémon images, if you would like to make things easier you can always upload a new version of the image, opposed to uploading it from scratch, which means you don't need to change the images in the articles. Harmonious editting, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 20:52, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm relatively new and need to catch up on certain methods, so thanks! --Lividore 20:57, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Och it's fine! I'm trying to help, not stalk. ; ) Highway Rainbow Sneakers 21:00, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Bravo! Would you like anything else to do? ;) Highway Rainbow Sneakers 21:04, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, just tell me what and I'll be happy to. :) --Lividore 21:12, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Butterfree!

I award Lividore the funky Butterfree for his promising start in image and article editting! Keep up the fab work. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 21:40, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Anyhoo, besides images, what kind of articles do you want to edit? Highway Rainbow Sneakers 21:40, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

Thanks! heh *wipes tear*. You can assign any article you'd like or think requires editing. In the meantime I'll skim through the Pokemon pages and see if there are any more images that should be replaced. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lividore (talkcontribs) .
If you like TCG, Team Rocket (anime) could do with some of the TCG images integrated into it. I think we have them in the project, check Category:Pokémon images to see. Harmonious editting, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 21:50, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
I found this. Happy editting, Highway Rainbow Sneakers 22:03, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
Added it and two other deck images. ;) --Lividore 22:29, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
If you're up to writing a whole section, that'd be really good. Highway Rainbow Sneakers 22:31, 15 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Verification

Whining at me to "stop" across multiple article histories isn't helpful if you don't provide said verification. This sort of thing is why you provide sources. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 14:20, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

If you looked up sources for yourself, for a change, instead of sitting and deleting stuff like a robot because not every tiny little detail is sourced, you'd find that the data you edited out was confirmed so many times by grand sources like www.pokemon.co.jp, that are too obvious to mention, or at least, to miss. --Lividore 14:30, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Burden of evidence. Please do read it. ' (Feeling chatty? ) (Edits!) 23:09, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Yes I know about it, thank you very much. However, I didn't add that information, and I still don't see why you couldn't, in the minimal amount of energy you spent to delete all this, to just try and see if it is verifiable for yourself. Things are hardly there for so long for no reason, and mind you, you wouldn't have to go over all these articles.

[edit] New Pokémon

I'm kinda busy right now (there's a theory that Grass Pokémon could change with the weath ^_^) but I'll try and chip in. I don't know if the box art has been added to wikipedia yet, but if you can add the individual box art images, that would be great. Highway Batman! 15:35, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Pachirisu9zs.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Pachirisu9zs.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

[edit] About the three new Pokemon pics! PLEASE READ!!!

Hi, it's me yet again, as you will undoubtly notice, I changed the pics of all three Pokemon back to the SPP versions!

What I ask of you, is that you delete the previous pics from you record COMPLETELY, so no one can access them, that would mean so much to me!

Don't take this the wrong way, you're a great guy, but this is all my fault, and I'm trying to fix my mistake, so all I ask is that you'll help me!

From Hero of legend!

Thanks for being nice! :)

I know the pics don't "belong" to him, but he's like this because he was the one who made the pics the quality they are, and he wants credit for them!

Though if I were in his shoes, I wouldn't care, but since I'm not, I don't want to look like a theif to him!

From Hero of legend!

[edit] Can you add the pics of Pachirisu and Dorapion from the Pokemon yahoo site as well please?

Guess who!

Yeah, now that the offical site has great quality pics, we can finally put this whole mess to rest!

So when possible, can you add those pics please?

And can you get rid of the records, becuase there's a lot of records and it takes up a bit of memory doesn't it?

You did all this for Cherimu already!

Thanks!

From Hero of legend

[edit] Your comment left on someone elses talk page

I noticed you asked for help on someome elses talk page, but I noticed the articles haven't been expanded yet, so i'll expand the articles myself, cheers —Minun Spiderman 10:03, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

It seems that the information is imposible to find out, the information is maybe just unknown until the games are released, but I would be glad to help with any other page, so if you need help with any other page, just ask on my talk page, cheers —Minun Spiderman 10:42, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Ice/Grass

I can't remember to be honest but I know it was a veritable source. I can't help feeling that it was on another Wikipedia article somewhere. I know I didn't just make it up. Michaelritchie200 07:18, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] For your work to Pokémon articles

[edit] Em?

No offence, but was there a point to this? Highway Return to Oz... 17:24, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

I'm sorry, it was a mistake. I wanted to change the Japanese name of Electabuzz to match the rest of the articles (the romanization as opposed to the original name - Eleboo -> Erebū), and I guess I went to the previous edit in "history", saw Erebū and saved it, thus omitting the rest of your changes. I'm really tired... Sorry. --Lividore 17:33, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
It's okay, it's good to step back from the computer now and again, and y'know, sleep. ;) Highway Return to Oz... 17:38, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Heh, it's about 8:30pm here so I shouldn't be so tired, but I guess it's because I've been running around all day with the sun blazing overhead... --Lividore 17:44, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
Are you in Germany? It's only 6 over here. Some Wiki-sleep may be in order. ;) Highway Return to Oz... 17:55, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
I live in Israel, I daresay you live somewhere in the United Kingdom? You use British spelling. :) If so, there's approximately a two-hour difference. --Lividore 18:40, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Naetle, Hikozaru and Pochama

I can't wait for the English names, there are incredibly annoying to remember. ;) I rewrote the articles, hope it keeps it tone with your editing. I also shot dead any "known attacks" sections I saw, I hope you'll do the same. Cheers, Highway Return to Oz... 11:37, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

The Japanese names are annoying, but don't expect the English names to be revealed soon. :) I remember Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip were revealed a month after the games' release in Japan, which was about mid-November. Anyway, you're doing a commendable job on the starter articles, I'm just tying the loose ends. I really want to give you a Staryu Star or something like that, but I don't know how, I think you deserve a Starmie Star. ;) Perhaps this proves I'm still new to Wikipedia, and students shouldn't give away citations. --Lividore 11:53, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you! I'm very happy with my Starmie, I like renaming the awards, they're all very silly. I think the Exceptional Newcomer Award was renamed The Butterfree Award of Exceptional Newnes. Anyway, keep up the fab work, and thank you again! :) Highway Return to Oz... 13:12, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Just a note

In the type templates, it's "dual-types" not "half-types". Be happy, Highway Daytrippers 18:57, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

Right you are. Thanks. --Lividore 19:04, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Koroboshi

Please do not re-add unsourced information. Facts should be directly referenced, per WP:CITE. Highway Daytrippers 09:36, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

But what is the problem? This information is confirmed. Should I cite the source in the article itself, too? This was not done in any of the other articles.--Lividore 10:52, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Yes, unless you cite the source, it's unsourced information. Koroboshi was the first I came to, can you tell me the others? Highway Daytrippers 10:56, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

Oh, nevermind, I thought the unsourced information you referred to was the height/weight stats. I didn't notice you reverted another edit so I reverted it again, along with the real unsourced info. Sorry. --Lividore 11:00, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

By the way, the other piece of information (Korobooshi's biology) is also legit. The source is Japanese, though...--Lividore 11:04, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
Is it a reliable Japanese source? If so, you can just start the ref with {{jp icon}}! Cheers, Highway Daytrippers 12:07, 23 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Dorapion

Yeah, just like that guy above this message's problem, needs confirmation on Sukorupi, yadda yadda. A webpage would help, or a scanned magazine article or something like that. Your word won't do, I'm afraid, so I'm removing it until you come up with the proof. (Forgive my brusque manner, it's just that people adding unsourced statements all over the shop, and me having to edit them out, leaves me jaded... I'm not saying there's anything wrong with you personally.) Vitriol 03:30, 29 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Mitsuhoney and Beequeen

I would like to direct you to WP:MOS-JA where there is a naming convention that states that the English equivalent can be used. It is obvious that "Mitsuhanī" is "Mitsuhoney" and "Bīkuin" is "Beequeen". While you may not believe that these romanicizations are correct, others may disagree, such as myself and other members of WP:PCP. Ryūlóng 09:09, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

No, I do believe that these are the official romanizations, I just try to be as accurate as possible, and they were not confirmed. But if their use can be justified, I won't revert them again. --Lividore 09:13, 1 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image tagging for Image:Lucario.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Lucario.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Hello, Lividore. Over at WikiProject Harry Potter we're trying to compile a list of active participants. Your name, along with all other project participants, has been placed on the inactive list. [edit] Hi, can you please replace the current pics of Pachirisu and Dorapion with the ones from the Yahoo site? And delete the entire history record? Just like you did in the Cherimu page please?

Because the owner of Pokebeach his STILL pissed at me for using his pics in the first place, but you seem to be able to fix all this!

You already did this with Cherimu, but can you do this with Pachirisu and Dorapion please?

Thanks a bunch!--Hero of legend 11:20, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Mukkuru.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Mukkuru.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Names reported by Serebii

Since Serebii isn't a reliable source as required by Wikipedia:Attribution, the various new names Serebii has just released cannot be used as fact on Wikipedia. Thanks. —M_C_Y_1008 (talk/contribs) 22:15, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

To reiterate, Lividore, please wait until Nintendo officially confirms these names before treating them as fact in Wikipedia articles. Thanks. —M_C_Y_1008 (talk/contribs) 01:04, 17 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] TCG names

Please don't use a link to an image on a fansite as a source. Anyone with some skill at image manipulation could easily make a fake TCG card - we need to see the web page these cards actually are coming from, for starters, so we can see the context they're used in. If they're "this is what the card might look like..." then that's obviously not a valid source... as it stands, pokemonelite2000 still wouldn't be qualifying under WP:ATT regardless - an actual official release is still being awaited. -JC 11:19, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

It's on their news page (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/). They don't claim to be speculation (in which case they wouldn't be accepted at all), and seem to claim to be real images. Of course, the photoshopping possibility is valid, so I, at least, won't object to not using those card images as sources. —M_C_Y_1008 (talk/contribs) 11:55, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
