[edit] Long Island University C.W. Post Campus

Hi Mike, I noticed the rv edit exchange that you are having with an anon. (While I'm not a student at Long Island University C.W. Post Campus, and don't have first hand experience) don't you think that some of the comments like dorm problems are superfluous? Just wanted your opinion before I put my two cents into the article. -- Samir ∙ TC 09:12, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

Hey Samir, I might be tempted to agree with you if I was adding things along the lines of who's popular, what professors are mean, which bathrooms smell, etc. However, I think that a fire in one of the buildings is incredibly important, and I feel that only painting the campus' facilities in a positive light is misleading. The dorms are old, they are only called Residence Halls by admin trying to make them sound nicer, the other restaurants aren't really included in the meal plans despite what's been said and everything is closed so early.

If you can find a better way to temper both the pros and cons at once, I'd be game to help. However, I have been here four years, I met plenty of other frusterated people and I've worked on the school paper for four years; this campus is not as great as that anon is making it out to be, which would be awful for prospective students trying to get another opinion.

    • Sure, I agree that some of the changes made the article look like an advertisement for the school. I'll make some changes in the view of NPOV, but please correct as you see fit. Thanks. -- Samir ∙ TC 09:28, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
