"Live It Up" was a popular recording by The Isley Brothers upon its release in 1974. Like many of the songs on it, it was one of the most overlooked hit recordings by the brothers on their album of the same name. Ronald's gritty vocals are helped by his brothers' rambunctious and testerone-driven background vocals while Ernie gives a whirling guitar performance and Chris displaying his skills at the clavinet. It rose to #1 on the R&B charts and was a modest Hot 100 pop recording.
