Group/Line Handshake. What is the name for group/line handshake in which at the end everybody has shaken hands with all the other people in the line? People line up in a single file line. Person #1 turns and shakes hands with person #2, then person #3, then person #4, and so on until person #1 has shaken the hands of everyone in the line. The second person in line, person #2, follows the example and shakes hands with person #3, person #4, and continues until they have shaken hands with everyone in the line. The line sort of folds back on itself as each person follows the example of the person in line before them.
Whatever the name is, it is NOT a reception line, nor a formal reception line, nor a receiving line.
It is similar to what happens at sporting events, where each team shakes the hand, or touches the hand, of every member of the opposite team. They do not, however, shake the hands of their own team members.
The activity can happen in venues other than sport, for example, a graduation class, a group of people at the conclusion of a workshop, or other event/experience which people have shared.
