[edit] "With utter scorn"

Miller (Author in footnote) said that the military greeted Taft's comments "with utter scorn", his views were not popular, so therfore I erased the word "popular".

[edit] Please include

You ought to inclue that the Filipinos disregarded this term because they too were mistreated by the Americans. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.1.93.244 (talk • contribs) .

If you can site a foot noted source I welcome this information. All of the books I have read focus on the American view of the conflict, neglecting the Filipino view. Travb 03:15, 14 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] removed statement

[When the United States had its military bases in the Philippines (Clark Air Base located in Olongapo), servicemen called the women working as prostitutes "LBFM" which stands for "Little Brown Fucking Machines."]

This statement was unneccesary as well as uncited, not to mention obscene.

[edit] POV

The last comment about Filipinos burying Americans alive is POV. American soldiers had committed well-documented war crimes, and the evidence for Filipino war crimes is much less.Makerowner 00:13, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
