Little Hangleton, Britain, is a fictitious town described in the Harry Potter series of novels. It was the home of Voldemort's parents.

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Voldemort's mother Merope Riddle, uncle Morfin Gaunt and grandfather Marvolo Gaunt lived in a run-down old house close to the village. Tom Riddle Sr lived in a large house in the village with his parents, until all three were murdered by Voldemort, who framed his uncle for the murder.

Lord Voldemort returned to the Riddle house with Peter Pettigrew, where he murdered Frank Bryce and enchanted the Triwizard Cup to be a Portkey to the local churchyard. He planned to kill Harry Potter there in order to regenerate his body. In the event, Peter Pettigrew killed Cedric Diggory in the churchyard.

The Gaunt house was also the resting place of one of Voldemort's Horcruxes, a ring with a black stone, which was an heirloom of Salazar Slytherin.

In addition to the Riddles' large house, Little Hangleton is home to a pub called The Hanged Man (appropriate for a town named "Hangleton", and possibly a tarot reference) and a church (or at least a churchyard, in which Voldemort is reborn). The nearest police station is in Great Hangleton, some 6 miles away (GoF and HBP).

The Hangletons are likely somewhere in Yorkshire, as they are approximately 200 miles from Little Whinging. (See full explanation at the Harry Potter Lexicon, [1])
