  • Clean up sections. They seem to repeat around section 19, beginning with Agriculture. Looks like someone made a boo-boo in editing the page, so information was duplicated. When cleaning, should merge users and subsections listed in first block (sections 1-18) with those listed in second (repeated) block (sections 19-36). Section numbers correct as of this edit. ~AC~ 12:34, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Sections

This page is getting quite large, I recommend that it be divided in to sections. Maybe Arts, Sciences, and Other Interests. I want to allow diccussion before making such a large change. --Noldoaran 05:09, Nov 20, 2003 (UTC)

If a noob's (even if an intellegent noob's) opinion counts, that sounds like a good idea. -Y0u 04:40, Dec 17, 2004 (UTC)

page now over 40kb... --Rj 07:06, Apr 12, 2004 (UTC)
completely with you ... this page is unbelievable, with categories repeated, etc. a huge mess. [[User:Animated Cascade|Animated Cascade «talk»]] 15:44, 19 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Should not the subject of Phish have its own section? It is in itself its own lifestyle to be a Phishhead and a seperate listing would certainly show more about the users of Wikipedia. Just a thought . . . MattSal 03:03, Dec 11, 2003 (UTC)

How many Phishhead Wikipedians can there be? --Rj 17:27, Apr 6, 2004 (UTC)
I agree there should be a page just for Phish-heads they are sorta like their oun community, although I'm not one myself, that is some people's lifestyle. It seems as though there are ALOT of people doing this follow the band thing. The girl who happens to be from Ohio-U.S.

[edit] Chess a sport?

even golf barely qualifies...  ;) --Rj 23:37, Apr 4, 2004 (UTC)

Rule of thumb - if you're answering a quiz and a question begins "Which sport or game...", then the answer is chess. Or, very rarely, Tiddlywinks. Bonalaw 09:13, 23 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Most people who play sports are called jocks. However, chess players would more likley be called dorks. Therefore it is definitely not a sport. Dean-O 8:25, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Split page problem

I'm not sure what to do with this page now that it's split. I think it's hard to use as is, especially for new users, who don't know how it's now organized. The guy who did the split says "we can put some intro in", but I don't know how that makes it easy to use. I think remerging and finding a new way to split might be best. --A D Monroe III 21:40, 11 Mar 2005 (UTC)

[edit] How to repair the problem

I started to fix this, but just enough to let you see what I think needs to be done.

I removed the redirect to the A-B page from Wikipedia:List_of_Wikipedians_by_fields_of_interest, and I put the all the links into that main Index page. All of the other pages should just be subpages, like I created for A-B.

Instead of Wikipedia:List_of_Wikipedians_by_fields_of_interest_A-B, which should be deleted, you now have Wikipedia:List_of_Wikipedians_by_fields_of_interest/A-B as an example A-B subpage to look at. Notice the uplink at the very top of the page that goes right up to the Index page.

I'll check back in a while to see if anyone is still actively working around here. --Ermeyers 12:55, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
