[edit] Vandalism

There may be a page at meta but to redirect this page there without discussion and without adding the names of the people here to there is vandalism. Let it not happen again, SqueakBox 14:20, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

Ok, I admit that was an rash and silly decision of mine. I wouldn't call it 'vandalism', though; vandalism would be something like replacing the content with 'I like cheese', or putting ten pictures of penguins on the page. I was simply doing what I thought was the right thing to do, not deliberately deleting the page to annoy people. No one in the IRC room seemed to disagree with my decision, either.

If there are no objections, I'll merge the people here into m:Wikipedians by age tomorrow, and turn the page back into a link. Problem is that most of the entries here simply list their age, and not their birth year, so some might be wrong due to having had their birthday since they put their name on here. I am confused about this page... dont you think that the years wikipedians were born should be in seperate "Category: Wikipedians born in _____" pages? This way they could automatically include wikipedians that use certain code on their user pages. Flying Hamster 00:29, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Upon further looking, I see that these category pages already exist, so why is there need for an additional meta? I vaguely understand the idea regarding shifting wiki-centered things to wiki-meta, but is there a software related reason that these categories must be in pedia not meta?
