This is a list of articles which have often been protected or semi-protected for long periods of time, usually due to common vandalism. This list is manually maintained, with articles selected from Wikipedia:List of protected pages.

Unprotection is tried regularly. When unprotected, the articles are watched for a few days to see if vandalism recurs and the page needs to be re-protected, or to see that the problem appears to be finished and the page can be removed from this list. Do not remove from this list until it is fairly clear that a page is no longer a high target of vandalism.
