[edit] Development of new infrastructure for LoPbN Links pages
_ _ I'm using Template:List of people Hami Links/Devel for at least the first prototype of a new approach to coding templates serving the purpose that Template:List of people Hami Links would have been expected to serve. (And Template talk:List of people Hami Links/Devel is where i will both comment on the new approach, and probably create some programming tools.) The hope is that i can make direct coding more automatic, typo-resistant, and intuitive than the scheme i've apparently been using for almost exactly a year (tho it seems like forever). That nameless scheme was focused on reducing typos, tho i think it eventually made me faster at splitting pages (probably without any increase in errors accompanying the speedup). I had hoped it would make the process of up-scaling portions of LoPbN less intimidating and more accessible to other editors, but if anything, the evidence suggests that the start-up effort has remained (or become) inhibitingly great. Perhaps this scheme will reduce that overhead.
_ _ I expect that these subpages will be renamed to reflect their long-term function, once it becomes clear that the new scheme is feasible and the appropriate naming becomes clearer.
