Talk:Lists of communes of France
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I think we should change the formatting of each page listing the communes of a particular département. At the moment they are in the form of a list, with each of the three columns only marginally seperated. I think it'd be better if we transfer them to tables which would allow us to more easily play with the format (cell and table widths, presence of lines and borders and colours). We should also include two further columns: population and area. Does anyone know where I may get this information? Also, it is quite a large task, don't wait for me to start if you wish to. --Oldak Quill 20:00, 18 Feb 2005 (UTC)
- In fact, the French and Swedish Wikipedias have already transfered to formatting by tables - I shall simply copy the tables from the French Wikipedia and change the headings. Still, it'd be nice to add population and area columns. --Oldak Quill 20:03, 18 Feb 2005 (UTC)
[edit] (list of) communes in French Polynesia
There is no list of communes of French Polynesia. French Polynesia is also not mentioned in the article Commune in France nor in the article Lists of communes of France. Do the communes in French Polynesia have some kind of special status and are not mentioned because of that?
In the French-language Wikipedia, there is already a collection (although not a list) of communes in French Polynesia: http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communes_de_Polyn%C3%A9sie_fran%C3%A7aise.
Here is also a list (the numbers in this list coincide with the list in the French-language Wikipedia):

Yet another list (with missing numbers):
