Talk:List of terms in Xenosaga
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hey, the pictures seem to be screwing up the page format a bit. Perhaps we could have an article dedicated to pictures? At the bottom of each section, if there is a picture/group of pictures, we could create an article for that so those large spaces don't appear. I'm not really an expert on pics and wiki, so I don't want to dig any deeper into this issue ^_^ Deckiller 20:37, 26 September 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Zoar and Zohar are different things
I just wanted to let everyone know that there is a difference between the Zohar and the Zoar incident. Deckiller 01:31, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] U-DO, chaos and God
Wilhelm says U-do is God, where did anyone find this said about chaos too? (see u-do article)
- chaos is Anima, which is also referred to as God. The Anima Vessels, which are called half of chaos' body are also called the power of God and the body of God both in the database and various times in the script by both Wilhelm and other characters. Database entries to check are chaos, Zarathustra, and Anima Vessel.(PhoenixStrike 07:59, 18 October 2006 (UTC))
[edit] A plea for sanity
Folks, it's great that everybody's adding content and attempting to wikify their articles, but please, before you hit that big shiny Submit button, take a look at the preview and click on some of the wiki-links you've created. Make sure they go where you meant for them to go - I've already cleaned up a couple of Shion links that redirected to the Shion in the King of Fighters universe, for example. Also, if you're wiki-linking to a page containing a list of terms/list of characters/list of whatever, you can make the link take the user DIRECTLY to the appropriate section by using the # sign.
Example follows: Albedo instead of Albedo will take the user to the character from Xenosaga instead of the definition of "the measure of reflectivity of a surface or body". Syntax is substituted text.

[edit] Da Vinci Code Movie using Song of Nephilim?
Has anyone seen the commercial for the Da Vinci Code movie with a woman singing what sounds an awful lot like the Song of Nephilim? Is this a real song? If so, it should be mentioned. If not, methinks the movie creators are plagarizing... Rockhound 17:36, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I just heard the song being played in a commercial for the movie. It's probably some old orchestra song written before copyrights were invented. ⇒ JarlaxleArtemis 03:25, 18 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm almost positive it is the real thing. It's in the same key, conatins the exact musical intervals, and sounds identical to the vocalist from the Episode II recording. There are provisions of Copyright law that allow people to use portions or entire pieces, depending on circumstances. They also could call the owner or the owner's representatives and ask permission to use the piece. This is done all the time. That's why there are only about ten pieces of music used in movie trailers. There is a piece from Children of Dune that has been used in at least three Hollywood trailers since that miniseries aired. And the song is probably only used in the commercial, not in the film. That would be a conflict of interest to the film's primary composer, who was undoubtedly payed an obscene ammount for his work. It is certainly not pre-existing, as something like this would not have been composed prior to the 1960's, according to the style. User: scherzophrenic 02:13, 1 June 2006
[edit] Confusing sentence
"At the start menu of Episode II, E.S. Asher can be seen being assemble and in mid-game Zebulun, technicians assemble various components around the spine shaped Vessel of Anima in an anti-gravity chamber."
Is there a grammatical problem here or am I just not it reading correctly? MS Word couldn't find anything wrong with it, but it seems like the tenses, or something else, are creating the confusion.

Nowhere during the game or in the Main Menu is ES Zebulun shown being assembled. It's always ASHER.
[edit] U-DO and Song of Nephilim
Ok, I've changed this twice, because there is literally not one reference in the games to U-DO producing the Song of Nephilim. Only the SON space station is ever said to produce the Song wave.
- Every time U-DO shows up, the song plays. ⇒ JarlaxleArtemis 01:39, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- That isn't so in Episode 3. There is a sort of connection, though. --melodiester 03:49, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
U-DO manifested in Omega System when Albedo made contact. No song heard there.
U-DO was also said to have manifested in Proto Omega's room at Labyrinthos ("it's the voice of U-DO!"). No song there either.
[edit] Executive Comitee Director
Removed the "it's hard to imagine ..." part.
For one, it's speculative. No insight is provided and the database doesn't make a mention of it.
For another, this is Xenoverse. Things that occur within it don't necessarily follow logic as we know it.
[edit] Split the ESs
The ESs need a section of their own. Or, at least, all "Mobile Weapons" in Xenosaga (AGWS, AMWS, ES, PS, Omega) need their own space. It's difficult to organize images as it currently is.
[edit] So ...
It's alright to post images that that are blatantly stolen directly from the main site or have a 3rd party logo on it but wrong to use images that come from fankit, even when it's written in the comments that the image is copyrighted and to who it is?
