Ok my source is The Streetsmart street directory 2005 i've done A and B today please sense check for typos and wikify. Gnangarra 05:43, 20 February 2006 (UTC)
- If you do another letter please state source if different, obviously all edits ae welcome but dont wikify until each letter is a near to complete as possible. The reason being if only one or two names exist for a letter I will delete then re-enter as im working from an alphabetical list, its easier to just type continously than go looking for and editing around already existing names. Gnangarra
- i have not run out of nrg just sufficient time to sit and type, but its not forgotten Gnangarra 12:17, 26 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Format
I've been looking and thinking (I know thats dangerous) but the format I put forward may not be the best option. I'm thinking that something more like List of Western Australian towns would be better, basic alphabetical list. On the list we can then link schools to the suburb they are in ie Cyril Jackson Senior Campus as most schools histroy reflects that of the area they are in and would only need a small section within a suburb article. From there they could link to external school websites, or individual articles on wiki.
What thoughts do you have on this option Gnangarra 06:23, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Before It grows
Is this going to be a sustainable format. I know of 5 primary schools in Canning Vale still to be added, 5 primary schools in Gosnells. I had a look at doing but to me it appears to be to complicated for successful expansion. What do other people think. Gnangarra 18:10, 20 January 2006 (UTC)
I, too, also have a large amount of schools to add. So when someone has got around to changing the table, could they give me hoy and i will add them. Thanks!--Ali K 15:30, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Format Suggestion
Suggest a format similar to list Perth Suburbs the schools be grouped by type. Primary, Secondary, Tafe and Colleges, University. with a subset of Private, Government, Commercial Enterprises. I quite happy to convert the article to this format if there's an agreement to alter from current. Gnangarra 14:09, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- Agree to change of format suggestion. Tables like this are hard to maintain and grouping allows automatic TOC's. -- Ian ≡ talk 14:51, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Started New Format
Please any comments or alterations before we start adding all the schools Gnangarra 16:31, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
I'll wait until the 1st February before adding all the schools Gnangarra
- Just a question, are the schools going to be added alphabetically - or are they going to be added to an alphabetical suburb list? SeanMack 09:32, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] List of schools in Western Australia
The Education Department has a List of schools in Western Australia, from which I extracted the following. All that needs to be done is to sort out which are in the Metro Area and which are not. - Gobeirne 20:55, 21 January 2006 (UTC)
- Also, this is just state schools so we need to find one with private schools.--Ali K 08:39, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Preliminary list moved to /Eddept list. -- Ian ≡ talk 09:04, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
List of schools in Western Australia, this article is very similar to List of Schools in Perth should the two articles be merged or left seperate. Regards Hossens27 03:36, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
Erm... how do you classify a school that is K-12? Spook 11:37, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

Was there a general concensus on whether to keep these seperate or not. Personally I think the list format for the Schools in WA should be used here as well, it containts a lot of useful information rather than just a list of names. If we do seperate them, I would suggest completing the WA list and then just cut-paste the metro ones to this article. You'd then just put a link saying "For metro schools see [[Schools in Perth]]" or "For rural schools see [[Schools in Western Australia]] --frendy 06:28, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- There was a consensus previously not to use the table format but to use the current format, links images etc were to be added after each Letter had been completed. The majority of schools on this list wont warrant links anyway. Gnangarra 10:19, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
- OK.. I think we should at least have the suburbs the schools are in included as it's not always easy to know where the schools are based on their names. I don't see why you wouldn't use the table format, even if there are little links on it, but maybe thats just me. --58.6.7.89 15:09, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Marri grove and Mundijong
I just fixed them up so they are actually listed as dot points, but I am wondering whether they are called "... Primary School" or just "... Primary" If anyone knows, can they edit the list to show this. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 150.101.170.57 (talk) 08:54, 3 April 2007 (UTC).
