Talk:List of retired professional American football players
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This list is probaly going to get real long if we expand it. Should we include players who played for more than 5 years in this? Thanks --Jaranda wat's sup 01:54, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
- All players with articles should be included, the list can be split if necessary.
- Even players who barely even played like Bishop who played only like 2 games in his NFL career? --Jaranda wat's sup 02:35, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, anyone who made it on to the playing field and who has an article. Kappa 12:57, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Confused?
Doesn't college football players that are in the college football hall of fame belong on this list, this isn't the List of retired Professional football players, this is the list of retired American football players. (I won't add any one that haven't had one season with a professional team) --Phbasketball6 01:09, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Overabundance of links?
Is it really necessary to link every instance of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and College Football Hall of Fame? Wouldn't it suffice to have the first instance in each letter section linked (i.e., the first one under "A", first one under "B", etc.), and just have the rest as plain text? I think you'll find that they read better in black rather than hyperlink blue (or followed hyperlink purple), and the links are still close enough to access from anywhere within that part of the list. Just a thought.—Chidom talk 18:25, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
