[edit] What is eligible

This talk page's main (or "article") namespace page, List of people by name: name Ba is the place to add or move or duplicate a person who has Ba as their surname ("last name", in casual English).

To be more precise, it is the place for someone who has

B or b or one of them plus a diacritical mark as the first letter,

and

A or a or a corresponding approximation of them as the second and final letter,

either

as their surname, or
as the given name ("first name") by which they are widely understood to be intended, when it is used without a surname (Elvis, Cher, Madonna (entertainer), Leonardo, Michelangelo, Alexander, Socrates are examples), or
as their the first (or, equally if subject to misinterpretation, the second) unit of a double-barrelled surname, or
as an important part of their otherwise compound surname.

If any of those apply, and the person is notable (i.e., encyclopedia-worthy) historical (i.e. not fictional) person you have in mind could get an entry on List of people by name: name Ba. That page already exists, as demonstrated by the fact that the lk to that appears in the preceding sentence is rendered in blue rather than red. But if it lacks a link from this talk page's accompanying main-namespace page, you can at least in theory install it.

[edit] Is the Name page connected?

Examine the following line:

Name Ba | Baa-Baj | Bak-Bal | Bam-Baq | Bar | Bas | Bat | Bau-Baz

If it includes a lk that renders with the text

Name Ba

then the name page is already connected.
