This passage was on the page, above the ToC, but may not be necessary there (even tho this treatment of Mac differs a bit from that of Van):
- This List of people, in alphabetical order by name, with names that begin with the letters Mac, includes them, and orders them, without making distinctions
- between "Mac" and "mac",
- between names in which "Mac" or "mac" is followed by a space or a letter, or
- between names in which the next letter following "Mac" or "mac" is upper-cased or lower-cased.
- For example, the order in which the last names MacTeige, mac Teige, and Macteige would appear depends solely on the first and middle name (or titles) that make up the rest of the full name.
