Talk:List of new age and new instrumental musicians

[edit] Alphabatization
I removed one duplicate name, "Klaus Schulze Composer", and changing the link for Cusco to the page name suggested on Talk:Cusco.
Added Heinz Strobl AKA Gandalf and added a stub to the wikipedia pages.
Also ended up not understanding the alphebitization of the page, but fixed my own mistake.

[edit] Narrowing scope
I'm publicly stating my intention to clean up this article to only include musicians with Wikipedia articles. The article's scope is too broad otherwise. I may not stick around forever to keep the redlinks and self-promotion out, but I'll watch it for at least a month. I would appreciate if any of the people who were arguing that the list should be kept because of how useful it is stick around and help with the maintenance. --adavidw 20:01, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
- Oh, and there needs to be some indication on the article as to how things are alphabetized. By first name or last name? Any preference? --adavidw 20:23, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] reply to narrowing scope
I don't understand why you want to eliminate musicians who do hot happen to already have Wikipedia articles. There are plenty of valid active musicians who are not yet noted in articles. Why do you feel that in order to be worthy of listing on this page there must already be a related article? I could list many new age musicians who sell well and are known by the fans of this kind of music and don't have Wikipedia articles yet, but there's no use in doing that since new articles could appear any time.
I'm not saying you are wrong, just that I don't understand your choice to clean up the article according to that standard. If you like, please elaborate on your reasoning.
Thanks
