Is there any point to this? Such a list cannot be compiled accurately, and it's poorly constructed, as well.--70.104.78.28 20:55, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- I agree... --Ryajinor 20:56, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- I agree completely. There is no way to compile a complete list, and it is unnecessary. (unsigned message from 12.226.115.117)
- I too agree. Even if this were a category—which it would be more appropriate as—and not a page, it would still be too lengthy to be useful. —Typhlosion 23:37, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] What if the article only covered games with 4+ players?
As the other talk comments have noted, this is a pointless page, since, if you cover all systems, you would have to include over 1000 multiplayer games to be comprehensive. If, however, we limit the page to those games which allow 4 or more players, and form the following categories:
- Shared Screen
- Split Screen
- Turn Based
- Network only
This page might be a useful resource. There are too many 2 player games out there to make a reasonable list, but for 4+ gamers, the list narrows quickly, and seems more useful. thoughts?

I was looking for a list of multiplayer games and here it is, great! In general, the list should be replaced by an appropriate category with subcategories like you suggested. Plus a subcategory for each console. Hm, a system to prevent a combinatorial explosion of the number of categories would be nice here. Note that Category:Multiplayer_computer_games has one of the subcategories you suggested. 'Hot Seat' is another name for 'Turn Based'. --85.180.163.107 20:40, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
I agree. we formed a retro-gaming club here and obviously the biggest hits during our sessions are the games where 4 or more players can play simultanously. I've been looking for a list of such games for some time and this could be the perfect place --Timothee 18:34, 10 February 2007 (GMT+0800)
[edit] Format questions
1. Why do some of the Gamecube games have underscores in the titles? 2. Why are Xbox and Xbox 360 lumped into the same category? 3. If this is supposed to only be about 4-player and above games shouldn't the title reflect that? 4. Should you have different heading for 4-player simultaneous/4-player hotseat and 4-player system link? 5. What about 3-player games and 2-player system link games?
I ask these questions because I have compiled large lists of multiplayer games from my own collection. I'd like to add them but don't want to break any assigned format. 67.189.48.254 15:18, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
Okay then, I'm going to throw down and make some changes 198.6.46.11 17:31, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
