[edit] Former members?
I've added a former members subsection to the South Africa section. I think it would be a waste to have that info eventually only in the page's history - what do others think?
If we keep the former members, should these be in subsections under the country sections like now, or should we make 2 main sections Current and Former with country subsections when the list of former MPs become long? I think we should already include incumbancy dates if we find it.
If the PAP becomes like in Europe where MPs are grouped by ideology instead of nationally (which is probably inevitable), former members could have their nationality in brackets in the ideology sections, e.g.:

[edit] Work
This article, and the articles it links to, seriously need work. Someone with more patience than I should have a look at it. —Sesel 00:15, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Stubs for all politicians
I am creating basic-level stub entries for all the parliamentarians listed here. While some have changed, I think that they are all important. Please post your thoughts, as one wikipedian has suggested they all be merged here.--Thomas.macmillan 05:01, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
- Unless you are going to write an actual stub a name and and affiliation is not an article and creates unacceptable problems in terms of biographies of living people.--Peta 05:03, 5 October 2006 (UTC)

- Peta: I tried to add a little more information and a reference, is this more acceptable? Punkmorten 08:36, 5 October 2006 (UTC)
Frankly, I think the articles of people notable only for being a member should probably just redirect here, if they ever do become notable for something else, the article can be removed as a redirect and a real article be placed in its place. If any are notable beyond this, then they should keep their articles. I'd go about the AfD process for these (to bring it to a wider auidence to see what people think), but I don't know too much about the actual process to do it. Radagast83 04:30, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Why isn't membership of the Pan-African Parliament good enough? What makes them less deserving of an article than, say, Category:Rhode Island State Senators? Punkmorten 09:47, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
-
- If the RI state senator articles only has the fact that they're a member, it should be deleted also. Since we have a list with the info that the person is a member, having a bio article that only has this same info isn't encyclopedic. With some references for other info and indications of notability it becomes an encyclopedia article. -- Jeandré, 2007-01-14t19:42z

- Being a member of a national or regional Parliament is a sufficient indication of notability, and referencing this fact is possible. Punkmorten 08:38, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
