The Addams Family wasn't really a comic strip, but a series of stand-alone single panels. RickK 05:43, 18 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Ugh. I just realised all the work I did yesterday should have gone to the "Movies based on comic books" page instead of this "comic strip" page. I'll be working to fix it up right away. Sorry for any problems. --Nahallac Silverwinds June 29, 2005 16:19 (UTC)

[edit] Asteriix

Isn't Asterix a comic BOOK? Since the difference is noted in the article it probably matters. Weirdly there isn't list of films based on comic books though just list of films based on American comic books grrr.--A Geek Tragedy 11:55, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

I agree. I have removed V for Vendetta for the same reason. The main problem is that the entry is American comic books. See my suggestion for a move back to where it previously was. (Emperor 02:00, 7 December 2006 (UTC))
The problems with the naming of the entry has been resolved and we have expanded the international range of the various entries and now have: List of films based on French-language comics. The Asterix entries are clear they are based on comic books and so I see no reason to keep them here. I have checked through the rest of the list and they are solid and all fit here. The only odd one is Asterix. I'll leave it a day or so and then remove them. (Emperor 05:21, 18 February 2007 (UTC))
I spotted a few things that need adjustment so I took out Asterix at the same time. (Emperor 16:05, 18 February 2007 (UTC))

[edit] Tidy up

I've formatted the entry in line with the related List of films based on comics. A lot of has been done on List of films based on English-language comics establishing ways to deal with things link upcoming films and if they are forthcoming references are needed. I added one in for The Phantom film but can't find a IMDB entry for Crankshaft so someone needs to prove it or take it out until reliable sources become available. Everything else looks pretty solid. [edit] Merge

As this is a bit complicated I have put the merge discussion here if you want to add anything. (Emperor 05:55, 2 March 2007 (UTC))
