[edit] Proposed entries to be researched (by anyone)
- Missing Info Found - Resolved: Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. US TV series. There was an additional episode with a villain who had TK. He was part of a dup or trio of bad guys. The character actor who played him had a rough-looking face and typically played bad guys in minor roles. This was a larger role for him. Need episode title. 5Q5 15:27, 15 November 2006 (UTC)

- There were also at least two other Buck Rogers episodes with TK, the one with the dwarves who could "on-think" and "off-think", and the one with the gathering of supervillains (Markie Post guest-starred on that one). You can see why I didn't add my edits ;) --- Noclevername 03:09, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- I tried doing online research for this info; emailed a Buck Roger's site owner, but he/she never responded. The two other episodes you mentioned might be listed online. I remember seeing a pic or mention of Markie Post on one site. Try a Google for "Buck Rogers" "episode guide." I can't confirm the PK/TK in these other episodes (it was so long ago), so I don't feel confident adding them, but you can when you get the names. 5Q5 15:20, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

- Space Precinct, UK TV series. There was a bug-like alien character in at least one episode who had TK abilities. Need episode title.5Q5 15:27, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- Were there any episodes of Futurama or The Simpsons that had PK/TK in them? Maybe one of the Halloween episodes of the "The Simpsons"? 5Q5 15:27, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- In the movies Conan the Barbarian (1982) and Conan the Destroyer (1984), the Wizard character played by Asian actor Mako I am nearly certain had telekinetic power that he could summon by meditating briefly. Didn't he cause a stone dragon head secret chamber to open in the latter film? Need verification by someone who has the DVDs. 5Q5 15:27, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] "Specialized forms of TK /PK in popular culture"
Any number of such terms can be generated by combining various roots with "-kinesis," e.g. "scotokinesis" (manipulation of darkness). Not a single one of these currently has a reference showing that it has actually been used anywhere. These should be reinserted only if they are reinserted together with a source citation showing the comic book (including proper reference to issue number, page number, and story title) in which the term was used. - I note that someone changed the metal manipulation to ferrokinesis, which would technically mean iron. Most of this was my writing after someone stuck a few terms in the main article over at PK. I then expanded it. These are mostly terms familar to the comic book or computer game communities and they may or may not be real words. I couldn't find any in a check at the comic book reference section at a large bookstore. Pyrokinesis is the only one I've heard of and it has it's own wiki article, so I created a "See also" section and moved it there. The wiki page on word inventions like this is Wikipedia:Avoid_neologisms. 5Q5 15:33, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Specialized forms of TK /PK in popular culture
Psychokinesis and telekinesis are the general terms covering control and manipulation of matter and energy. There are, however, a number of PK/TK specific abilities[1] that have been used in popular culture works, such as comic book stories with super heroes and villains.

Electrokinesis has its own meaning already; the movement of ionized particles (I think that's a fancy term for static cling) but it has nothing to do with the psychic power to manipulate electrons. Noclevername 03:03, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Help, please
I'm trying to add references for the Buck Rogers edits I added, but I keep screwing it up and I don't know what's wrong. Can an experienced editor lend a hand? --- Noclevername 00:04, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
Never mind, I changed them to outlinks. -- Noclevername 10:18, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
