Talk:List of computer games that require pixel shaders

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pls do list all the games you know of, that require pixel shader support. This will greatly help users of gfx that has no PS in choosing games. I am a MX user myself, and i am really pissed off, when i found out my newly bought game failed to run on my PC~

should i change 'Graphic Chipset with PS support' to 'Graphic Chipset withOUT PS support'?

No it won't work without PS. I've tried everything.

[edit] far cry

michael:farcry works on my horse without pixel shader almost just fine

[edit] Solutions

"Entry-level video cards supporting pixel shaders are now quite affordable. As a result, replacing an unsupported card with a newer one is not only viable, but also much more desirable than using potentially problematic workarounds."
Is this POV? Define affordable please. (No, I'm not being sarcastic.) --70.143.34.201 12:50, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] What is the point of this article?

This article is pointless, don't you guys think? It's just going to be an infinitely growing list of games. It's about as useful as a list of "games that require 3D acceleration" (that once was a valid topic too). Granted it might help those with extremely ancient video cards to get games running, but I don't see much value in that either honestly. This is an encyclopedia, not a howto site.

I think this article should be removed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Swaaye (talkcontribs) 30 October 2006.

84.228.62.227 14:15, 4 December 2006 (UTC)no it should not. i will never buy any more newer video cards, this component for the games dies out too fast, all the money for nothing, it sucks I WANT COMPENSATION FOR THIS INSULT

Pixel shaders have been included in cards now since 2001 with GeForce3. That's almost 6 years. Are you still running a Pentium III? I wouldn't bother with PC games anymore if that's not enough time. --Swaaye 23:30, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 3D-analyze

This program comes packed with a Trojan. I'm removing all references to it from this page, and reporting the wiki on it to the admins. I'll keep a link to the wiki here on the talk page for later, if it's changed or justified in some manner. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/3D-analyze 4.239.36.84 05:01, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

[citation needed]. I found no references to 3D-Analyze containing any trojan - perhaps you were downloading from a suspect site? --Sigma 7 19:32, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
